What do you do?
I create cross-channel marketing strategies that can be executed in many forms, these are: Websites, Portals, Social Media Advertising, Microsites, Automated email incentives, landing pages, Mobile and Tablet Applications, Banners and Tablet Ads, gamification experiential displays.
What challenges do you face?
Mostly, like anyone, it’s achieving balance. Not enough of one thing and too much of the other. From a work perspective, I find that it is mainly about education vs production. Our work environment and technology is ever changing and it sometimes hard even for a geek like me to keep up much less MDs and CEOs. Working with stakeholders to solve their particular problem depends on so many variables that the balance can be hard to even conceive of let alone manage.
Why do you do it?
I like helping people, I like working with stakeholders to solve their particular problem and it depends on so many variables that the balance can be hard to even conceive of let alone manage. However more often than not if expectations are set early and there is unbiased alignment across a team, there can be a resolution.
